The series
Synopsis
Travel differently.
Travel Buds is a travel and lifestyle series that goes beyond the postcard to discover what a destination really feels like.
In each episode, our hosts step into a new city, region or culture and meet the people who give it character—from chefs, artists and local personalities to entrepreneurs, advocates, cannabis connoisseurs and the occasional skeptic. Along the way, they explore great food, unexpected experiences, local traditions and the evolving world of legal cannabis.
But this isn’t a dispensary tour with an airplane attached.
The cannabis culture is the doorway. The destination is the story.
Through humor, curiosity and genuine conversation, Travel Buds explores how people live, what they believe, what they create, what they eat, and—where permitted by law—how cannabis has become part of the local experience.
Somewhere between the first introduction and the last laugh, strangers become friends and another little corner of the world becomes familiar.
No contact high required.

About
Travel Buds
There are plenty of travel shows that will tell you where to stay, what landmark to photograph and which restaurant has the longest reservation list.
Travel Buds is interested in what happens after you get there.
We travel in search of the personalities, flavors, stories and experiences that can’t be found in a brochure. And in places where adult cannabis is legal, we explore a culture that has moved from the shadows into storefronts, kitchens, farms, lounges, businesses, art and everyday conversation.
Our hosts don’t simply observe from the sidewalk.
They meet people. Eat the food. Ask questions. Explore the culture. Get into conversations. Follow unexpected leads. And occasionally discover that the best part of a trip was never on the itinerary.
Our compass
People Before Places.
A great destination is more than geography.
It’s the grower who can tell you exactly why two plants from the same strain developed differently. The chef quietly reinventing the neighborhood restaurant. The old-timer who remembers what the city was before anybody thought it was cool. The artist working out of a converted warehouse. The advocate fighting to change an outdated law. The skeptic who thinks the whole cannabis revolution has gone too far.
Those people are where Travel Buds gets interesting.
We want the conversations that aren’t rehearsed and the moments nobody could have scheduled.
A wider story
Cannabis Is Part of the Journey—Not the Whole Journey.
The world surrounding legal cannabis is fascinating because it touches agriculture, business, medicine, law, politics, cuisine, tourism, creativity and culture.
Travel Buds explores that world without pretending everyone agrees about it.
We’ll meet enthusiasts and experts, entrepreneurs and advocates, newcomers and critics. We want the stories, the arguments, the history and the personalities behind a culture undergoing one of the most remarkable transformations of our time.
And when our hosts can legally participate?
Well...
Research is research.
Respect the destination
Safe. Legal. Local.
Travel Buds celebrates responsible adult travel and legal cannabis experiences. Laws and customs differ from place to place, and respecting the destination is part of experiencing it.
Because being adventurous doesn’t mean being stupid.
It means knowing where you are, understanding the culture and being curious enough to explore it.
Our philosophy
The Journey Is the Destination.
At its heart, Travel Buds isn’t really a show about cannabis.
It’s about travel, friendship and discovery.
It’s about finding fascinating people in unexpected places. It’s about the meal you didn’t know existed, the conversation that runs two hours longer than expected, the local who becomes your guide, and the ridiculous story you’ll still be telling ten years later.
Cannabis gives us an unusual way into that world.
Human beings give us a reason to stay.
So grab a seat.
We’re going somewhere.
